Love Never Fails

Today is a special day! 10 years ago today, my little sister married an awesome guy. And even though our mom wasn’t there to watch her walk down the aisle, we felt her near. Her spirit filled our hearts with love, peace and happiness while we celebrated and danced the night away.

Below is a note my sister posted on Facebook this morning and thought it was so special…

MY HUSBAND-A is a man of character. Who understands commitment and does more than his share to make his family comfortable and safe. And I adore him. MY PARTNER-is a man who is patient, optimistic, caring and wise. His sense of humor and support hold me up when I can’t do it myself. I am grateful for him. MY FRIEND-is the only man with whom I can share my deepest secrets and know they’ll be safe. Time with him is always good. I cherish him. I am so thankful he came into my world, for if he hadn’t, I would have never known the kind of happiness he brought into my life…

I think being married for 10 years is a wonderful blessing. To know how fragile life can be and to witness “two lives joined together in friendship and united forever in love” was amazing to say the very least. I think their story is inspirational.

We had lost our mom back two years before. They were in their early 20’s. Our parents were divorced, my brother-in-law’s parents were  also divorced.  Society was skeptical, but I was optimistic.

I was so happy for my little sister the day she got married, I saw God shining down on her and creating a family for her with a great guy. And today, I am still so very happy for her. They’re both amazing and I admire them so very much. Their love, marriage, commitment, family and home keep me inspired everyday.

Their love continues to grow stronger and their commitment to their faith has also helped. When I see my sister, brother-in-law and my two nephews in Church praising and worshiping God. My heart smiles.

I pray for God to continue to bless their lives, their marriage, their family and their home and my two adorable nephews always.
